Searching
To perform a search click on the blue hand on the Tool Pallet and a new "Untitled" Phrase Window will open.
Searching for a single word, combination of words or phrases is very simple.
On the left we are searching for "Fear of Dogs". Actually we don't need "of" as these sort of words are ignored.
The References Window
When you hit the "Enter" key, ("Return" on a Mac.), the References Windows will open to show you where those words are found.
In this window there are four columns. Remedy, Section, Book and a section of text, which contains the words you have searched for. You can scroll down the list or type a letter to go to a remedy that starts with that letter.
If you wish to jump to the full Materia Medica, just double click on the text you wish to go to and the Materia Medica window opens. The window at the top of this page is what you would see if you doubled clicked on the first line.
At the same time the references are found, a rubric is created from a combination of the phrase and the remedies, where those words are found and put into the active Clipboard.

If you perform a second search, e.g., mind 3 spitting.
(Mind" separated by up to three words from "spitting")
You will get the following References window.

And the Rubric Clipbord will now look like this.

At this point if you click on the Remedy Graph icon (looks like a column graph) on the Tool Pallet on the left, you will get a nice remedy graph of the two rubrics you have created.
If you do a third search, this time "mind biting",...
you get the following References Window.
And the Rubric Clipboard will now look like this. (I have hidden the remdies now so that I can see all of the rubrics. If they we showing, they would take up too much room.
Now the Remedy Graph of Clipboard A looks like this.
Since Lyss, is the first remedy in the list, I might like to have a look at it. To do that I would just drag the remedy and drop it on to the open book of the world (the Materia Medica icon) on the Tool Palett, which will open the materia medica window as shown below.
Next I want to look in Vermeulan's Prisma so I scroll down or just type V, to get to the V's and then click on Vermeulen's Prisma.
As I read the text I don't know the meaing of "secretions" so I do a right click on it and select the "Word Finder".
