Software

Since 1986 Kent Homeopathic Associates has been developing software for homeopaths.  It all began with MacRepertory and not long after that a need for a Materia Medica program became apparent.  That need lead to the development of ReferenceWorks.  Both applications have been rewritten several times and employ cutting edge technologies to make them user friendly and to deliver the best results.

Beautiful Elegance

We are very proud of MacRepertory and ReferenceWorks. Designed by classical homeopaths and graphic artists, they think and work the way you do. Our programs are intuitive and simple, while remaining powerful and flexible. We consider MacRepertory and ReferenceWorks to be among the most beautiful of any kind of software.

That's why nearly all the worlds leading homeopaths use MacRepertory and ReferenceWorks.

A little introduction.

MacRepertory is based around repertories and the need for easy repertorisation.  There are an increasing number of repertories available for MacRepertory and there are keynote materia medica available for use within MacRepertory too.  For example Boerickes' Materia Medica.  Boericke's repertory is also available.  A good analogy for MacRepertory and it's Repertories and Books is iTunes.  With iTunes the music player.  There are lots of different tunes you can install on your computer, which you can play.  Similarly, there are lots of different repertories that MacRepertory can "play". When you upgrade MacRepertory, you don't usually get new or upgraded books, unless you order them as a separate items.

ReferenceWorks is based around materia medica and other texts, such as provings, journals, cured cases and even repertory extractions, which you can read just like a normal book.  But that's not all.  We thought it would be nice to turn that who collections of text books (850 volumes in Library G3) into a case analysis tool.  So that's what we did.

In this respect ReferenceWorks is unique.  In short, when you do a search, the results of that search, like "fear of dogs", is captured as a virtual rubric entitled "fear of dogs" and every remedy where fear of dogs is found is listed with that virtual rubric.  There's lots of other nice things too.  And it just keeps getting better.
