" Jahr published his first addition of his repertory in 1834, but it was very cumbersome and Jahr made no attempt to evaluate symptoms until his fourth edition, prepared in 1851. In the preface to this edition he writes; "In imitation of Boenninghausen, I have adopted in my repertory four different kinds of print..." , It is obvious the he failed to recognize the fifth evaluation give by Boenninghausen." Roberts and Wilson. To say that he failed to recognised the fifth evaluation/grade is a bit harsh, he me just have chosen not to use it. Boenninghausen's fifth or lowest grade looks like this '(arn)' and signified that it was provisionally included in the rubric. There are few examples of this grade in the Therapeautic Pocket Book.
